Aikido Europe

As Europe is growing together and national borders become less significant, the time has come for a truly European Aikido network. “Aikido Europe” offers a common and democratic platform for all branches and schools who are interested in the growth of Aikido based on free exchange and development.

Our approach pursues the following objectives:

• Promotion and cultivation of a contact-oriented Aikido
• Focus on cultural diversity through international practise
• Exchange and development through networking between different dojos and Aikido groups
• Support for our autonomous member dojos
• Organisation of internationally acknowledged dan graduations
• Support of member dojos with their dan graduations
• Education and qualification of Aikido teachers
• Acknowledgement by Hombu Dojo Tokyo (Aikido World Headquarters)
• Acceptance of Hombu Dojo graduation guidelines
• Liberty of additional memberships in national or international associations

As of today, many dojos in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway and the Czech Republic have joined Aikido Europe. The network is continuously expanding with further contacts into the U.K., Italy, Austria, Ukraine and other countries.
